The products I offer for sale are just a small sampling of the DIY mixes I keep on hand. I hate to use the canned “cream soup”. This dry mix is a great option to keep on hand as a substitute.
Ingredients:
2 c. Powdered nonfat milk
3/4 c. Cornstarch
1 tsp. Salt
4 T. Dried onion flakes
1/2 tsp. Dried basil
1/2 tsp. Dried thyme leaves
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1 tsp. Granulated garlic
Directions:
Combine all ingredients. Store in airtight container until ready to use. To substitute for one can of condensed soup: Combine 1/3 c. dry mix with 1 1/4 cups of cold water in a saucepan. Cook and stir until thickened. Add to casseroles as you would the canned product.
Want to make it mushroom or celery flavored? Use chopped up dried mushrooms or dehydrated celery bits from Mother Earth Products.
